1. OnBase users, regardless of platform, access OnBase keywords from the OnBase Database.
2. OnBase users, regardless of platform, access OnBase documents from the file server. However, transparent to the users, they access Distributed Disk Services.
3. Distributed Disk Services accesses the Disk Groups through a single TCP/IP port so only DDS connects to the OnBase Disk Groups. By enabling DDS, users are unable to browse to these data files outside of OnBase.
