1. A document is processed into OnBase, through any import method. Image documents can be OCR’d to create a text rendition that is eligible for full-text indexing.
2. Documents or text renditions, designated for full-text search, are sent to the Index Server which stores a copy of the document and creates full-text indexes.
3. From the OnBase Client or Web Client, a user can perform a full-text search to locate the indexed documents.
4. The Index Server will return the search results to the user via the OnBase Client or Web Client. The user can view the document via a hit-highlight display of all searched terms.
